Just take it easy and use spray penetrant on the nuts for a few days or weeks before doing the removal and you may save yourself the hassle of dealing with a broken stock mount or hardware. Take it easy when popping the nuts loose, work them back and forth slowly, and take breaks to spray the threads again and let the threads cool down, since a stud will snap when it gets super hot from all the friction.
Replace with your choice of shocks, either high end Bilsteins, KYB MonoMax, Gas-a-Just, GR-2, Eldebrock, or something like the Monroe Reflex or Monroe Sensatrac.
