After 107k miles on my gen 3, I came to realize that the highway oft travelled shouldn't be bouncing me all over the place. I am now preparing to replace the struts on all four corners. A friend told me on Friday that he had to replace the springs on his gen 3 after only 75k. Should I also replace the springs?

I don't want to get started on this only to find that my daily driver is laid out until I get new springs. I am hoping to replace the front struts today while the snow is holding off here in N.E.

i just replaced the front struts in my 03 eddie bauer with 155k because of alot of bouncing over dips and bumps in the road i installed Monroe Reflex and what a difference tons smoother and no bouncing , i didnt replace the springs my truck didnt sag and ride hight was ok , only replace if there is sag or a broken coil ,the springs are pretty tough , you just need the tools and a spring compressor its an easy job about an hour each side , im going to do the rears soon a little more difficult to get out becasue you have to remove the pannard bar off the rear hub to remove strut
