Hey everybody. I've been on the forum for a little while now but this is my first time posting.

I did a little searching around but don't find anything for the Gen 4's.

I've got an 07 X Ltd that I bought back in April or so of last year. Couple minor mods but nothing big. However, I just recently bought an Xcal3 from James @ Henson Performance.

My question is, is there a way to reset the Keep Alive Memory without disconnecting the battery? If I can help it, I'd rather not loose my memory seat settings and radio and what-not.

I've removed the 10A fuse #24 (PCM KAP / CAN vent) but wanted to make sure I don't need to do anything else. I figure I'll leave it out for a bit (at least 30 minutes) and hopefully that takes care of it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dale

Just curious why disconnect the bat with the X3? Or do you have other mods?

You can get a 9v battery with a cigarette adaptor and plug it in to retain some settings. Works on some cars but I'm not sure if it works on the Ex's.

I've always been under the impression that when you reflash the PCM, it's best to erase KAM so that it will re-learn with the new flash.

Maybe I'm in error.

The only mods I've got are K&N intake, Magnaflow cat-back and MSD coils. I also have, but they're not installed yet, Steeda under drive pulleys.

Yup, you're in error. No need to disconnect battery when you change tunes.

Where did buy the MSD coils? I know there alot more $$ than the Accels. I'm been debating getting them. Lastly, are the Steeda's 3 or 4 piece?

Yep. Did some more reading of the stuff that came with Xcal3 from SCT and found that was only for 94-97 vehicles. I've got an Xcal2 for my other car and need to do reset. That's where I got it from. Thanks!

I bought them from summit. Forget what I paid though. It was 6 or so months ago. Steeda pulleys are 2 piece (crank and w.p.) only. They don't make the 3 or 4 piece for the new 4.6's is what they told me. They reccomended not changing the alternator with these ones. Now I just need to get them installed.
