My privacy glass was busted out by some punk kid with a rock and VERY fast legs. I was goin about 50 at the time. Needless to say, that glass is almost 500 installed. Or 350 from a junkyard. Anyone got a better recomendaiton?

Your insurance deductable can't be more than that. Tell the insurance it was vandalised, and get them to replace it......

deductable is 500.... I found a yard today that has a scratched up window for 100.. I'll just doit myself.

Some "underhanded" glass places will waive most or all of the deductable for you, as they make it up in the price they charge insurance.

They don't tell the insurance company that you didn't pay, they pretend you did, but in reality they pay it themselves, and still make a profit.

$500 is pretty high for them to waive and still make a profit, but I am sure you could find someone who would do it properly for 200.

I am not condoning it, but I have heard of it happening before.....

or go the hardcore route with some lexan ;)

Do it your self . It is cake. All the side glass on the Explorers are press in. Just crawl in the back and carefully pop off the trim pannel . You'll see a bunch of 11mm nuts. Take them off and pull the old " frame " .
You can get window kit from pretty much any auto parts store. Run that around the new frame have your buddy hold it in palce wile you put the nuts back on.
Tighten them bit by bit spacing out which ones you do.
It is cake. Have some tar , wax & grease remover near by cause that window kit can get a bit messy.
