Hi there, I could use some help. I plan on getting 33x12.50 Pro Comp Mud Terrains from 4wheelparts but I have some questions on rims. My truck is a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4, its stock rim is a 16x7. I would like to get 15x10 rims because they and the tire are much cheaper. What is a good backspacing for 15x10's? I dont want to mess up anything with too much offset. Im looking at some Cragar rims from summit, they are 15x10's with 4" backspace which is -38.00mm, will that hurt anything? Im also looking at some DC-1's but they have -47.00mm and are kinda pricey.

Any help would be great, Thanks. :)

Do yourself a favor and go with a 15x8" wheel. 15x10" are just too wide for Rangers.

Also what year is your Ranger? You might need a 16" wheel to clear the calipers in front.

The truck is an '01.

Will 15x10's cause alot of rubbing in the wheel well? I dont like 15x8's they make the tire look smaller and cause the center tread to wear fast.

...Where are you located, what tires do you plan on using, and what are your plans for your truck???

...The cragar soft 8's with 4" b.s. are bought quite often for the Rangers and Explorers...Summit usally has a good price on them...If you click the "How To" in my signature it will give you some really good info on wheels and tires...;)

...And as mentioned, 15x10's are wide and depending on the tire you want to put on it, you will probably get some rubbing...

...Dan Whitaker did bring up a very important question which you probably need to answer first...;)

I plan on putting a 3" Body lift on my truck, a 2" torsion twist and My truck came stock with a 3" block lift. I plan on doing some moderate off roading. For tires I was thinking 33x12.50 Pro comp mud terrains, 4 wheel parts has a buy 3 get 1 free deal.

If you go with a 10" wide wheel you will need to trim your fenders & possibly bumper as well.

I've never heard of 3" factory block lift either.

its a off road package? idk, i was told its stock... anyways, wont the center tread on the tire wear faster since a 15x8 compacts it?

No it wont.

If you off road you are less likely to knock the the bead off the rim with an 8" wheel.
