Roadtrip to AZ..

Sorry to hear that man.

Having just spent 3 days in Flagstaff, I ain't skeered of a little cold. :-)
So, my gf and I are still going to crown king, if anyone wants to tag along! We've decided against making it an overnighter, so we're just going to day trip it.

If you would like we could still meet you just before the T intersection at 9am. We decided to do a real easy trip on Castle Hot Spring Rd. to Buckhorn Rd, to Constellation Mine, and then back out to US 60 in Wickenburg.

you are talking about the one where you turn off castle hot springs (aka cow creek) on to the backroad? With the big rock painted "CK"? Sure. I'll pm you my cell.

The pavement used to end at a T intersection. The Lake is to the right, the way up to Crown King and Castle Hot Springs is to the left. There is a gravel parking area on the right side of the paved road just before the T.

I've got your cell and will call you if we don't see you there. We're shooting for 9am.

oh I know where you mean. Lol. That's actually where I was originally suggesting.

...Don't leave us hanging..

..Where are the pics and did Tom really just cruise around and keep all 4 wheels on the ground?..I know he had to find something to play on..:D

I'll work on getting the pics and video up today.

It was really nice having Mark and Tom over at the house:chug: Tom and his wife are still here, but will be leaving later this morning.

Turned out to be a good decision not to run up to Crown King. This was Tom's 'zuk's first time offroad and there was an issue with the transfer case linkage not wanting to engage low range.

Tom, Roxie and Mark, it was great to have you all up here. Char and I had a great time.:chug:

I had a blast going up the backroad. Rain and snow had washed it out a bit since my last time up, so it was fairly rough. Ended up joining up with a jeep and an f-150, who turned out to be coworkers 1 floor up from me.

Glad you guys had fun out there. I was actually about half a mile behind you, but couldn't catch up before the crown king turn off.

We are back home in Pinole now.

Roxie had fun, and is now babbling about getting back to Truckhaven. Bad news is, she runs a home daycare, and getting down there is difficult for her.

The zuk did pretty good, I have a few issues to deal with on it; tcase shifter is one, rear bump stops too high is another, and the flat tow cord got munged.

Haven't been out in almost 5 years, and it's been nice to actually do something for once!

...Nice pictures and video...:biggthump

..It appears the GoPro has been approved upon in it's lens perspective..I'm not sure what they have done but the videos look better than ever..
