After taking my truck wheeling @ paragon i realized rocksliders are in order. I was wondering if anyone has plans for building rocksliders to protect the rocker panels and other vital parts.

Do a search Gloria (Extreme4x4) and Lee (Leebo) have made some and are selling them. They are very sturdy and can even be used as a jack point.

thats cool but i dont have the money to buy prebuilt ones then have them shipped from nevada, besides its more fun to do it yerself :)

hey brian, you still have those plans? im looking to make some for my X

Hmmm, I dont know where they are at the moment but I will look. If nothing else I can probably measure them and draw a sketch. I should draw them up in a CAD program anyway.

sounds cool, i was talking to my dad earlier today about my X and mentioned i wanted to get some...and he offered to make them at his work, just need to get him some idea of what the sizes are, etc

I can sell you all the parts already bent and notched. All you would have to do is weld them together and weld them directly to the frame, or I could supply plates that you could drill out weld the slider to them and bolt to the frame.

I don't know what style you are looking for (round or rectangular). Mine are made frm 1.5" round tubing.

A kit would run $150, would only require a few measurements from you, and it would be a little easier to ship.

Let me know coryl@crlcustoms.com if you would like a set OR if I can help you with designs and structural questions you may have.

Here is what I am planning on having for my Rock Sliders....
