So my 2013 has a squeak sound coming from the roof area when hitting bumps or flexing the unibody.

Took the roof racks off and drove around and the sound went away.

When I grab the racks and move them side to side at the mounting posts it seems like the bottom plastic bases are sqeaking on the body. Gonna get some flocking tape and put it on the bottom of the mounts. Sure that will fix it.

Anybody else have this issue?

Yes. More when putting the body in a torsion... It mainly seems to come from the middle post, which can't be tightened.

Let me know how well your solution works!

The middle post does have a bolt. The roof rack itself covers it. Once the caps are off and the 4 bolts from the front and back are out you just have to slide the rack forward and it comes off the middle post. Then you can see the bolt in the exposed pocket.

Well I took the racks off and placed some Tesa harness wrap tape on the bottom of all contact points. (Tape is extremely thin felt).

Did a wiggle test by hand and not a single squeak.

Gonna drive it tomorrow to test. If it works alright I will re-seal the bolting areas and bolts with some RTV.
