Hello everyone, first off i would like to say i have used this forum for years and i love it. The forum has helped me figure out my problems so well that i havent had to ask any questions so this i my first post.
So here is my problem. I have a 96 limited 5.0 AWD and it has a rough idle. It drives down the road fine and has plenty of power but when i stop at a light i can feel the rough idle and it drives me insane. I have also noticed since it started idling rough my mileage has decreased by 4mpg. Another thing to mention is it down shifts funny. Also i dont know if its just me but it smells like its running rich.
Im stumped but here are few things i did to the X about a month prior to the problem.
New coils (chinease ebay POS, dont know if that has anything to do with it)
new wires
Cleaned intake/throttle body
I dont know where to start but Im thinking a bad MAF, vacuum leak, or maybe those coils are junk. Anyone have any suggestions?
