Hi Friends,
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer with 130,000 miles on it. The problem started 3 months back when the truck has a rough idle - the idle will not stay constant and will jump between 500 and 1000 rpm. Also, when I come to a complete stop it will buck when accelerating.
I cleaned the IAC valve and it was good for around 500 miles, then on a road trip, I was having same issues - So, I replace it with a new IAC valve and completed 4000+ miles without any issues.
A couple of days ago, its having the same problem. The mechanic said it was a PCV valve and replaced it after some diagnostics - it said Bank1 and Bank2 lean error. After I drove from the garage, I am having the same issues again.
I think the mechanic charged me $120 for nothing. Please help me identify and correct this issue.
I appreciate all your help.
Thank you,
James
