Running board removal on a 2004 XLT.

I'm trying to take the runner boards off of my ex, and not having too much luck. I got the 6 lower nuts off of the boards but up in a tight space theres 4 more bolts. I started taking off one of them and it got to a point where the bolt just kept spinning like there was a nut on the other side, but i cant reach the other side. The space is way to tight to cut off the bolt. I dont know how to get it out, and suggestions?
