I have a '99 XLT and am looking to add a set of running boards to help the rugrats climb into the back seat (w/o using the seat pockets from the front seats as a handle). I think that I'd like to be able to stand on them while washing the roof as well, so they should be able to support 200+ lbs.

Any recommended running board sets? I don't have fender flares and I think that I prefer the body color molded type over the black/chrome tubular.

Are they a fairly simple install?

Thank you.

Clik the link in my sig to see mine. They are the factory ones and they are strong, look good, and you know they will fit. Not sure how much a dealer would want but you could always check a junkyard.

I am asking the same question in the For sale forum.
I have the left one, but I experimented with the right one and now I want to put them back on when I do my body lift. So I am looking for a left one or a whole set, also.

What part of Dallas are you in? I am from Irving, but I am stationed in Florida right now.

Thanks for the replies.

addkev: I'm in Richardson, but I'll probably be moving to Lewisville soon.
