Running problem.

hi i have a 1998 explorer which is running like a dog when i put my foot on the brake and put it into gear or if its just ticking over and put my foot on the brake if i pull the vacum pipe off the brake servo it runs fine has any one had this problem with there explorer or is this down to an other problem i have just renewed the seals on the air in take manifold and the mass air flow meter

Seems you've already found your problem.
Replace the brake booster.

yup you have a leaky brake booster...
