Rust!!!!!!!

So I need to fix up some rust... I've heard rust on the running boards and rocker panels is common for the 95-97 style, have I heard wrong? And to fix up the rust underneath the door can I just put some rust oxidizer on it and put on new rocker panels?

That will depend on what you want to do with it. I cut out and weld in new metal. Patch panels are available from LMC truck. POR 15 is a good product, but heavy oxidation should be removed.
