A guy on rangerforum did a s/c eaton install for his 2000 sohc and it supposedly has over 300hp. he also did it for his ohv and said he would help me out. his name is brian, check it out in 4.0 performance. am i running major risks with detonation and how can u change that? looks like a shop will have to do some of the more advanced things for me. are there shops out there at will do this? thank you, like im sayin at this time it looks about 70%-80% im gonna do this, but i just need feedback. thanx

thats for the 2001 sohc, here is his email to me:
it will work with a little more adjustment to
the layout. It has a shorter snout so it mounts a little further forward. It
also has an external bypas valve rather than internal.

These units provide smooth power delivery and won't damage your motor if you
do the install properly and control detonation. I can help you through the
fabrication of the parts you will need to build. This is a raltively easy
install on the 4.0 OHV motor and the performance gain is significant.

Let me know if you get the supercharger ... Brian

i have mentiond this a couple time and did not really get a response from the board.

How much would this cost and also would it be bad to put on with 132k miles on my odometer already?

um..... there are bolt on kits available for the ohv... why would you want to adapt one? talk to alec owner of splat... he has a gen 2 explorer sport with the ohv and a s/c ... he also has n2o

Is that link working for anyone?

nope: page cannot be found is what i get
