Safari Bar Question????

I have a 95 XLT, and Im trying to get a safari bar, but everywhere I have found one, it says it only fits 96-99. I talked to a Ford tech, he told me the front ends are identicle for a 95 ans 96. So it sounds like the bar would fit. Anyone know a reason why I might have a problem installing it?

Is it one of the Westin universal fit safari bars?

I looked at a westin, pritty sure it said 96-99 also. The Ford guy told me there is no difference at all in the front end as far as mounting a brush guards, or anything like that. It looks like ether he doesnt know what hes talking about, or the companies dont.
