I noticed that all the X's sit low in the rear. Mine has a really bouncy ride coming from the rear. I'm not towing yet, but plan to buy a boat close to the max towing capacity (5000 pounds).

What have you guys done to fix the bouncy ride? Is there anything else I should do to the suspension if I plan to pull this much weight?

Good shocks should help the ride. I like edelbrock ISA's.

Good luck.....

You could try shackles for the rear to lift it up a little bit, or just get new leaf springs...

For the ride, I'd take al's advice and go with new shocks..

You are talking about your Explorer right? ;) New shocks work wonders for the bouncy ride. Haven't tried the shackles yet but plan to.

You can also do a tortion bar twist and lower the front to match.
