Some will. There were a lot more variations in the Ranger, so how much compatibility there is will vary from one to the next. Ranger had 4 engine choices, 3 more than Explorer. Ranger had 4 transmissions, Explorer had 2. 3 different wheelbases vs. 2, etc.
Different axle splines.

i was thinking about fender flares but the sites ive been on dont have them for explorers. then also my auto hubs wont engage on my car so i was gonna try and get some manual locking hubs of an older ranger

The hubs can come from any '91-'97 Ranger with the Dana35 front axle. Manual D35 hubs are not highly common in the junkyards though, they were generally a "delete" option for the auto junk during these years.
