Well, I just got my FREE grille guard from my neighbor, and am in the process of blasting it down right now, then I will prime and paint it.
1 question though-- should I paint is with gloss or flat??

That's one of those either or questions. Got a picture of the front of your truck and I could answer that. Do you have a chrome bumper or is it that flat black bumper? If it's a flat black bumper, I would try and match it in either gloss or flat. Go with your trim around the front is your best option, IMHO.

There you go--

If it was me, and it's not, but if it was, LOL, I would gloss it up. You have a chrome bumper and stuff and it all needs to look uniform. Either all shiney or all flat. so definately go gloss.

OK, I was leaning towards gloss anyhow
Thanks,
Ryan

I say flat black, especially if you off road, which I'm pretty sure you do. I think gloss black would just show too much dirt and be too vulnerable to the elements. Plus I just think flat black looks more "rugged."

I'll have to think about that.

Okay, got it sanded, primered, and ready to paint, but I think I decided to change my color idea and paint it a dark grey rather than black. Does that sound alright?
It sounded cool at the moment-
Thanks for the input

IMO, on a green truck, no, grey would not look good. I think black would look a lot better.

Well, it doesn't matter now, because I already painted it.
The color is gunmetal-- very very dark grey, almost black. Looks sweet!!-- I have to fab up some brakets to get the thing mounted, but I will try and get some pictures of it sometime soon.

I say go for Flat Black. Glossy doesn't look right. And I think Flat is more durable. just my $.02
