I must have been a good boy this year Santa got me a new Ex. I got me a 2002 XLS over the weekend and I'm a verry happy camper now. I had been looking for a second ride to use as my DD so I can give my '98 some much needed attention. I looked and looked at all different makes and models but knowing the reliability of the explorers and knowing that I have this forume to rely on I just could not get myself to buy anything else but an X. I finally found a 2002 XLS 4.0 SOHC 2x4 with 78k miles. I know it's only a XLS and 2 wheel drive but I was looking for something I can but some miles on and be good on gas. This thing looks and feels like it just came off the show room floor, very clean. Now I can wheel my '98 and not worry about getting to work if it breaks.:D

now u can make a street ride and a off road or crappy weather ride.

Exactly, I made myself promice that I am not going to do any mods to her, that I'm going to keep it stock and clean. Now I can take my '98 to Tellico and have some real fun, I'm sure I can find someone to give me a lift back home if it breaks.

How much snow did you get in Ohio? I might be heading to Bowling Green this weekend to visit family for the Holidays.

i am about 6 miles east of BG and we got about 6"-8" but alot of drifting snow.

nice xls r u planning to do any mods to it

A 2 wheel drive X would make a nice daily driver. You still get to sit up high and see the road well. It is comfortable vehicle to start with and the 2wd probably rides better.

Plus I new if I only got the 2wd I would be less lickley to take it off road, and I could crawl under her without having to where goggles to keep mud out of my eyes. I think my 98 has gained about 100+lbs with all the mudd stuck in every crevis possible.
