im doing sas in a couple weeks... full width hpd44 and ford 9". are there different length drop pitman arms for different lift heights? i am going to stick with coils in front and soa in the rear. im getting the axles out of a 77 f100. the f100 has a 3" sus lift already so im going to run those coils with the f100 coil buckets. i will probably have to drop the bucket down to get the right height but i will measure my stock spring and the f100 spring when i start hthe project. im going to go soa in the rear with my stock leaf springs. ill probably take advantage of www.4wheelparts.com 's super shock deal (4 procomp es3000, 1 steering stab and 5 shock boots of your color choice for 135). im thinking of getting two of those packages and running dual shock front and back and dual steering stablizer. still looking for rims though, want 15x10 5x5.5 to run some worn 35x12.50 xterrains that im buying off my friend for $100 for all 4. already have extended breaklines. going to replace the ball joints, u-joints, bearings and regear to open diff-4:11s. the d44 already has warn lockin hubs so thats set. if theres any more info let me here it. i know this was a long post but dont forget about the drop pitman arm question if any one knows. ive been researching this for about a year now but you never stop learning.

4.11 gearing on 35s?! i'd say you would want 4.33 or 4.56 atleast

its the auto with o/d. and my everyday driver. with 4:11s i should be taching about 2000 at 65. and that sure beats taching 2600 at 65 on my 31s. my friend had 4:11s and ran 35s for a long while (note it was a 1500 sierra) before he went sas and 44 boggers but he said he had great gas millage and could still pull like hell.

yeah a 1500 has like a 350 in it

arrent you running a 4.0?

or are you running a 302? my experince (with a 302 bronco) 4.10s push 35"s fine.

i tach 2500 at 65, with 4.56 gears and 32"s

if i were running 35"s id probably be hitting 2000. FYI 4.33 would suite 35"s on a daily driver much better.

yeah, i have stock 4.0... this summers project is the sas. next summer will hopefully be a 5.0 froma 94 stang gt. call it my explorer gt. do you have a man or auto in your 92. i noticed your running 4.56, what size tire? and also if you aol im, you can im me your name so we dont have to post this every time

PMed you

I have 4.10's pushing 35's on my 4.0
It does fine wheeling, but it sucks on the road.

For 35s, the least I'd go is 4.56s. I am going to 4.88s because I plan on running 37s later. :bounce:

thanks for all the help but i still need that answer on the drop pitman arm. is it different length drop or doe s a drop pitman arm just ocome in one size drop no matter what height lift?

all i know is i can powerbrake the hell out of my 315s in dirt with my gearing of 3.73s

i only have a 3inch dp arm and i have a dana 44 and am also running 35s (315s) so we would have about as much lift, all my arms are alligned correctly up front, so a 3 inch would prolly be fine for you

I have the superlifts 5.5" lift kit. Could I use the pitman arm that came with this on a d44 sas?

one more q... can i run the stock steering with a little bit of fab work... or will i have to go to all hiem joints?

that is the stock steering out if the 77 f100 im gettin the axles from.
