How do ya turn off the scheduled maintenance warning buzzer/beeper on a 99 Explorer? (It beeps 20(?) times on starting and then about every 45 minutes.) Thanks in advance....

Got the same thing on a 2001 Explore Sport

Any body have any ideas on what makes the a buzzer go off repeatedly. It starts 15 seconds after the ignition is turned on. Buzzes 5 times and repeats that pattern 5 times. It's about enough to drive you crazy.

Does yours have a Message Center?
It might be something aftermarket, mine never keeps going but I don't have any maintenance reminders.

Also, it could be the Check Engine or Airbag light burned out. I know on some cars it will keep beeping until the light is fixed but I don't think the Explorer does this.

Thanks

Nope, no message center but I did buy it with an after market alarm and remote start. I am beginning to wonder if that could be the problem. Check engine light works ok on start up check.

Got it

Thanks again, it was the airbag light burnt out. Took about 30 minutes and $4 to fix it. Silence is golden
