Whenever it is around 20 degree's out my truck makes an amazingly loud shrill for about 1 second and roughly 20 seconds after starting. Today I was pulling into my apartment complex and slid on some ice while braking. As the abs was pulsing the truck was making this screaming noise. I've never even heard of this before. Is this a common issue? Anyone else experience this?

mine dose the same thing, but not all the time, and only when it is cold outside. it will only do it after i start to drive forward from when it is parked or if i the abs is kicking it. i don't think it is harmful because it hads done that since i got it about 2 years ago, and actually laugh at it. i tell my son it is screaming because it knows who is driving it!

Yeah thats exactly how mine does it too. I always know the exact spot its going to do it. Its about 20 yards away from my parking spot at my apartment. neighbor was walking their dog once and it scared them both :D

claude, mine does it to. the reason it does it first thing in the morning is the ABS self test. thats why its always in the same spot too. as soon as the truck reaches i think 10mph, it runs the self test.

i dont know why its gotta be so loud about it though. sumthin in the control unit + cold weather....

I think mine may have scared some people this morning. :) It did it again today right in front of one of the apartments while the people were standing outside :)

i just want mine to do it at work. i get off at 7am in the morning, and when i leave, half the guys i work with are just walking (more like dragging there azz) in, cause they are either hung over (they are such a lovely bunch) or still half asleep. there's nothing better then a rude awaking!
