Will a Clay Magic clay bar and a lot of lubricant clean scuff marks from paint? The painted trim on my ST, being right above the step bar, gets rubbed now and then and I've developed a few small scuffs.

If not, what's a good way of cleaning them off? Thanks!

EDIT: Searching only brought up info on removing scuffs from plastic... however, one said GooGone wouldn't hurt paint. Is this true? And if so, has anyone successfully removed paint scuffs with it?

Al,

Thanks for the heads up. I totally forgot I registered there. The above question was my first post. :)

Thanks again. :afro:

you have a 2004 sport.... how the hell could you already have so much damage? =P

cuause he has painted cladding and i know i allway's used to catch my feet on out old 01 sport
trac when getting in(luckly no painted cladding tho)

Ak - Exactly.

The step bars are so close to the body that one slight overstep and you rub the molding on the body.

... I should have gotten a silver, not black, Trac... :-D
