I don't mean to make anyone jealous of my artistic abilities, but is this hose an appropriate route for inducing sea foam?

Yes, you can induct it there.

However, theres another vacuum line on the front of the motor, below the throttle body, next to the egr tube that some people use. I use it but I have the OHV, that looks like the SOHC motor so I don't know if you have that vacuum line in that location

Yes, it's the 4.0 sohc. I think I will just use it there for now. Some day I'll try and do the pcv route or trace something that's more effective.

Isn't the PCV on the back of your motor as well? I've been told to use the forward most vacuum line because you have a better chance of hitting all cylinders with the seafoam. I'm no professional.. it's just what I've heard :\

I'll hafta take a peek; I've read around and I've heard the back of the engine on either side (year-depending). I'm going to get things warmed up now, and iffin I find it, I'll consider altering my approach.

Call the fire department, this one's outta control! :D Kinda can't wait to see how she smokes in a half hour

Be sure to drive it like you stole it.

Seafoam is most effective above 4,000rpm :D :D

:p:

Damn, as an occasional truck driver and diesel fan I feel like I'm sinning when I go much over 2000 :D Good thing there's one cop in this rural 746 square-mile county.

Dang in that case, assuming your motor isn't in terrible condition, your sohc is going to love you for winding it up once or twice to blow all that old carbon build up out.

lol!!

Ohhh yes. I pulled out my drive and put the hammer down, looked in my rear view and just fkn busted out laughing. Turned onto the highway and gunned it, cruised for awhile at 80mph and headed back. I try and do a good job maintaining stuff but with 120k on it it's never had a sea-foam treatment and it did have some improvement. If nothing else it's at least done some cleaning. The other half can is in the gas tank. Think I need to run some through my pickup now :)

Did you run any in the crankcase? Also what seemed to have improved so far?

I didn't run any in the crankcase; just through the vacuum and fuel tank. I keep my vehicle pretty well maintained so there wasn't much noticeable difference. Maybe some get-up/go improvement and I'm sure it's cleaned stuff that didn't need to be there. I've only had this for 12,000 miles and it was bought at 108k but over that period of time I had already taken enough measures for improvement that it may have taken the shine outta what sea foam can offer. It was more precaution and something I just wanted to try than anything else. The best product I've used for engine oil is Restore Engine Lubricant. It has impressed me so much, I use it at every oil change now.
