After reading a ton of posts on Seafoam here, I decided to do it on the 93 Sport I'm pulling out of mothballs. I used the technique Msmith65 posted in the Seafoam Insertion Point thread with one change. I used aquarium air tubing and put a hose connector on the end that goes in the throttle plate.
This allowed me to use one hand to work the throttle and the other to dip the hose in and out of the Seafoam bottle without worrying about the hose getting sucked in. I put in a third of the can through the throttle. I also poured about 1/4 of the can into the oil (which I changed afterward).
One question though: The truck definitely seems to idle better now, but I never got the huge amounts of smoke everyone talks about. I'd previously run a container of Techron Concentrate through the fuel tank. Did I do something wrong?
