Hello all~
I have a 1994 XL with a 4.0L OHV engine. 137,000 miles on it. I've been around and around trying to figure out runability problems and I think things are pointing to a carbon buildup, and subsequently I have gathered seafoam is a good thing to use. I have never used it before and I was wondering what the best way of using it is and such.

Thanks

George

welcome to the site, the search function has all sorts of stuff on this... its a quite frequent topic look for something along the lines of "seafoam" you will find all you need

all right thanks. It just has random bits of rough running, high idle, low idle.... there are no sensors left to replace that would r egard these so I figure the carbon inside has finally built up.

This truck was my moms, then my dad's and now it's mine. They both never really floored it and babied the crud out of it. I know that to keep carbon buildup down you need to get on it every so often. Thanks!!!

well thank you!!! by the way I'm getting rid of this truck soon, as gas prices are killing me and 12mpg is not going to cut it on a senior-in high school, 18 year old's money... oye... just wanna get it runnin good first. :) Thanks again
