Seat Belt Alarm

UPDATE: seat belt alarm problem solved.

Quite by accident, I solved the problem of the missing alarm. When I replaced the multifunction switch ( http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137784&highlight=switch ), the alarm mysteriously started working again.

Beats me as to why; just glad it dies.

NEWER UPDATE: Problem still occurs.

Whatever happened to "fix" the chime went away as quickly as it arrived.

The warning light still illuminates and goes off ( 1) after a time period and (2) goes off by attaching the belt buckle.

I want the damn chime ...........
