Total newbie question here, but my seatbelt is twisted and I was wondering if anyone knew how to straighten it back out? Is there a way to open the seatbelt "case" on the door to straighten thet twist out? The twist is either around the waist or across the chest, which is annoying in addition to probably being unsafe. Thanks!

pull the entire length of the belt out from behind the interior panels.

If you cannot remove the twist this way then you need to remove the interior panel, the one the belt goes into behind the seat.

So you mean you don't just have 1 twist that has passed through the "buckle" part of the belt? If you just fold the belt you can usually slip it through the buckle to get the twist out of it. If this isn't the case then it sounds like Ford assembled it wrong!
