2006 Explorer Eddie bouer
hello, i am new to this page. i have a 2006 ford explorer eddie bauer 4.0 v6 with 230k. this car was great and reliable until the battery died in it. i put a jumper box on the battery and tried starting it to no avail. i put a new battery in it and still no start. the car powers up and all but no crank. the starter is good and tested. i noticed while attempting to crank it the security light was flashing rapidly. i got tired of trying to diagnose the problem and figured id delete the damn system. i found a place in ohio that i could send the pcm to and have to deleted. i did everything exactly as instructed. i pulled the pcm out of the car and put it in a box and off to ohio it went. i received the pcm back after a few weeks, connected it all back up, mind you this is allegedly deleted system now, and tried once again to start it with a good battery. the security light started flashing once i put the key in the run position and we were back at square one again. no crank, no start. any thoughts on what to do next?

Im sorry they deleted what?the PATS integrated both into PCM and the instrument cluster while the VIN recorded into several modules like a 4x4 module, you cant delete it.

In my opinion ,you need to reprogram both the PCM ( get the one that reflashed to the normal stage) and the PATS.

See the PATS key PID under instrument cluster PID list ,if no change after PATS reprogrammed and still shown as no key programmed, replace Instrument cluster ( where the immobilizer key recorded in) and reprogram the PATS once again.
