My 2002 explorer 2wd 4.0 v 6 is seeping anti-freeeze in the metal hose going to the oil cooler above the oil filter. I have 121.000 mi.
And i wonder if anyone else has had this type problem. It seems to me this metal line with rubber hose connection's should have lasted longer. The hose id $45.00, and the cooler is $126.00. I am considering replacing the cooler as the connection tube is rusted on the outside. Has anyone seen or heard of this type problem?

had the issue, replaced the hose itself, not too bad just sucks laying on the ground looking up to repalce it. I think the hardest part was the hose clamps (Ford OEM). Once I replaced those w/ regular worm clamps, it was good to go.

good luck
