Selecting a good 12in sub

Hey guys, im lookin to buy a nice 12in sub. I like sound quality and would only be powering it with a 300watt rms amp. I found a nice one i like, its a hifonics Zeus. Anyone heard about it. Im open to take suggestions for subs. thanks guys

no more than 130? sounds like the name brand stuff is ruled out ie: kicker fosgate JL, thats what i would recommend, but if you're on a budget i think the alpine type R or even the S would sound nice...good luck

i've heard of hifonics...never ran it tho, whats the specs of your amp, that will really determine which sub is best, i know it's 300 watts RMS but you got any other info?

just bought myself a Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1d, i got it for 145$ at etronics.com , they sell new stuff dirt cheap there, have saved nearly 300$ by buying from there, rather then crutchfield

Actually, if you shop around you can probably get a JL 12W0 for $130. It would definately handle your amp.

what is so nice about the elemental design subs? anyone else have experience with these.

hey man,
Your amp is rated at 410watts @ 2ohms as well, so I would look for a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub to use the amps full potential. Those hifonics subs are nice, but you wont be using the full power you have....

might I recommend either:

Basically just look for what you might like: do you prefer performance or looks? You'll probably want a sub with a high efficiency as well.
