sensor inspection issue on 1998 Eddie Bauer

Hi everyone,

I have a 1998 Eddie Bauer V8 Ford explorer and am having sensor issues with the exhaust system to pass inspection. I am being quoted over $750.00 for
parts and labor to correct with no guarantees and there might be something else.

How common is this problem and does fixing this kind of problem cost so much ?

what kind of sensor is it the 02 sensor and most community colleges that have auto classes will work on ur car for free so your only in it for parts well my community college works on cars for free but it cant hurt to ask

What code do you have which will help further diagnosis.

Welcome to this forum! Some faults are detected by the O2 sensor, so a code doesn't always mean that the O2 sensor is at fault.
