This issue started in the summer, when ever I would turn the wheel to full lock and stop the ABS would kick in. now EVERY time I stop the truck the ABS kicks on only on the left side, which pulls the wheel to the left. I tried to pull codes with a good Snap-On code reader, and there where none. The wheel bearing has no play, and the wire does not seem to be damaged, so what could my issue be? I am really stumped, I am pretty much out of things that could be wrong. :frustrate

Have you done a full bleed of the brake system? I am told to do it properly it has to be taken to a garage and hooked up to a computer to do the ABS system.

I have cleaned the brake system before, by pumping out the old fluid, and pouring in new, but I never let it run dry, so I never allowed air to get into the system, I also followed Fords recommended procedure. But I have never hooked it up to the computer to bleed it. But it worked great for 7-8 months after the cleaning, and then it started.

The wire may be ever so slightly damaged internally and you will never see it. Think of how many times that wire has to flex...

Disconnect the wire, Put a meter on the wire terminals, and wiggle it around. Eventually you will see the resistance change. I had this same issue with a Lincoln.

You will not see codes because the computer sees this as an ABS event and simply takes action.

Thanks, I will for sure check that tomorrow. Hopefully I can but the sensor, and wire, and not a brand new hub.

They all should read should read atleast 5 ohms. If not there's your bad sensor.

If the truck is pulling left, it's the right side kicking on. Left is still at full brake, that's why it pulls left, right is being released by abs activation.

Start looking at the right sensor(s).

Good call, my98

Yep, my98 is right on. Mine was pulling to the right, I replaced the left hub assembly and problem gone!

Thanks man, I would have never thought that. I was unable to check anything today because the shop was full but I will for sure check it tomorrow. But it is nice I was not able to, because I would not have seen this.

UPDATE! Today I finally replaced the suspected hub assembly(right side), and the problem has gone away, I have only put 20 miles on my truck, but it has stopped. It used to do it at every stop before, my teacher drove it as well, and it did it for him at every stop. Very happy, but not so happy to find that the pads, and rotors now have some issues because of the ABS action happening all the time, those will be next on the block for fixing, I am very happy though that the ABS issue has been solved.
