can you google what the c3a03 is? ive never seen that before. usually C codes are chassis codes usually for shorts boltage out of range etc. so id start at that by looking that up, since a short can cause alot of snowballing codes. i cant find a c3a03 online. also, what sortware are you using? sometimes generic code readers when resding a manufacturer specific code will jumble it up. forscan works great imo

also v6 or 8? ticking an be a sign of hydraulic tensioners going bad imo

This is one Bluetooth dongle veepeak, and I use car scanner pro, I also have the full version of forscan. It's a Ford explorer sport Trac 2002, 4WD V6 SOHC,4.0 Liter, you right..I never see this code either, I just know C stays for chassi...I replaced spark plugs spark wire, PVC valve, rubber elbow...and the up stream O2 sensor.... still little rough in idle. He runs great and the gas mileage is not bad for one 20 year's old truck.. will check the intake gasket...the guy who sold me the truck says he replaced the gaskets, but I will check..I am running out of ideas,. Btw. 2 weeks ago when I reset the pcm after I replaced the O2 sensor, the truck run for 4 days perfect smooth...and then came the 0301 and 0171 back
