I've got myself in a bind and haven't found an answer yet by searching. I'm swapping shackles on my 94X. The top driver side bolt wouldn't come out (rusted to sleeve and head rounded off), so I cut the head off and the old shackle and pounded the entire bushing assembly out of the frame (not my intent, but oh well). Still couldn't get the bolt out even applying heat + lube, so I drilled out the rubber bushing.

The problem:

I can't find a replacement bushing!

I ordered a Daystar frame shackle bushing kit (KF02022), but it isn't even close to being the right part! It looks more like a spring eye bushing and is about 1/2" too large in diameter. Anybody know the Ford part number or a place to get a quick replacement? I'm getting pretty desperate, as I've been Exploderless for over a week. :-(

Thanks in advance.

The same thing happened on my 95. BEFORE we did anything, we called ford dealer and yes they sell them, they cost like $16 each and were in stock.

However I heated the threadead part of the bolt up with careful attention not to burn the rubber. When the bolt turned red I "seized" it with water a one hit and the bolt came out.

So I canceled my order.
