Will a shift kit that firms up shifts ( less slippage ) help improve the gas mileagfe?

I am thinking that it just might....

If it does help with mileage it will be a minute change, but it does make shifts feel better and faster.

i have the B&M shift programmer thing, and i noticed no milage change, in town or on trips. well worth the $40, though.

Transgo shift kit installed in mine....no improvements in MPG. I drive it hard when I need too, but not most of the time.

I reckon I will have to try one out.

I just can't imagine no improvement if it increases efficiency. It has got to be in driving techniques.

Thanks for your opinions.....

it increases efficiancy in how the tranny shifts, not how the power is transfered all the time. basically, you may save some fuel in between shifts, due to less "idle time" for the motor while the tranny shifts. i dont drive hard all of the time, and like i said i noticed no gain in town (some hard driving) or on trips (75 mph with the cruise on). i would not expect to gain any noticable mileage with this.
