Does anyone know of or have a shift kit in their 1994 Explorer(A4LD tranny)4 X 4 or similar? Do they work well?Where do you get one?(who makes it)
I was told that having one installed will prolong transmission's life.

I have one from TransGo in mine. It does very well. Model A4LD-JR.

John,
I just had my tranny rebuilt and had a TruShift shift kit installed. My mechanic told me the kit would prolong life and take a bit more Hp. It definitely shifts tighter. As far as cost? Kits aren't expensive - paying someone to install it may be 100-200?
