Today my '02 4wd Sport wants to remain a 2wd. The selector switch will not shift into either 4wd high or 4wd low. No indicator light on the dash either, just like I have a bad switch. I checked all the fuses and no luck. :thumbdwn: All this since the previous issue bellow.
Last year, during freezing weather, the vehicle got "stuck" in 4wd High just by sitting parked in 2wd (vehicle had been parked for three or for weeks). After driving it around the block a few times and using reverse a couple of times, it finally shifted out of 4wd high range (the indicator light confirmed 4wd high during the drive).
Also, while all this was happening, the speedo read way too fast, like 80mph while driving about 30mph. Too weird.
Are these problems related? How do I diagnose? Did I break something driving it around in low gear? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
