Shifter bushing help

Well my shifter had a ton of play in it so I got all of the new shifter bushings, and proceeded to put them in, get done and can't shift into any gears. Figured out I left it in 1st when I took everything out, how do I go about getting it into neutral. Help!!!

I know this is an old thread but wondering how you managed to get it neutral?
I am in the same boat after a clutch replacement in my 94 b4000 ..
