Shock question

I have a 98' 4.0L SOHC and I need new shocks. We are planning on getting a few inches off a TT and warrior shackles but I dont know what kind of shocks that would work out. Could I put shock like the Rs5000s on my truck without the lift and when i do lift it, would it still work ok? The man at the store said that those shocks only fit on lifted trucks.

He recommended the Monroe Sensatrack things...I dont think that they are meant for off road use...

I also have '98 and run the RS5000's no problem, according to Rancho they will support up to a 4" lift.

I run bilsteins, they are fine for the amount of lift tt and shackles provide and ride great. I've had them on my truck for a while and like them a lot.
