What is a good replacement shock that would give a decent ride without being too stiff...I mostly drive on the street...I was looking at a set of those adjustable ones...this way I can stiffen them up as I load up the rig...any susgestions?

Monroe, Rancho, Koni or anything you guys say would be a good fit.

Thanks:D

Basically anything is better then the stock ford shocks. mine were bad, and i replaced them with Monroe Reflex, they're not adjustable but the ride quality was insanely better. Do your research on what each shock does. adjustables are nice, but IMO they're not worth the extra money if you're not going to be using them frequently.

I do like and have used Monroe shocks before and have liked them on my previous cars...I assume the reflex is their top of the line shock?

Thanks for the reply:salute:

They're a step below the sensatrac shock, but they are very good shocks for the money. The only thing that they aren't that you're looking for is the adjustability. But like i said, if you're not using it say, at least once a month, then it's not worth the extra money.

you're probably right, no adjustable shocks for me...I am looking at the Monroe Sencatract shocks or the Bilsteins...either way I go...it's looking like $200 bucks or so...I just want to stop bouncing and don't want to tear up my brand new tires...thanks for the input Justin:biggthump

I am fond of Rancho adjustable shocks.

Good luck ....

Are those the 9000 series?...how much do they cost?

At stock height the Edelbrock IAS Performers were a huge improvement over original Ford Shocks.

Mine are 9000s. I want to say they were roughly $75 a shock? I also bought them back in 05, so I'd suggest Google for more relevant pricing.

I really like my Bilsteins (but they are not adjustable).

Maybe I will go the Rancho 9000 way...I do love adjustable shocks...have 'em on my '61 FORD Ranchero...it might take 4 weeks to buy 'em , but I will have my adjust ability that I am look 'n for.

Thanks
