Shoot me now!!!

Hmmm. As mentioned earlier about engine coolant temp sensor, have you replaced it? You know how the ECT sensor will affect your engine performance? How about checking the condition of the new spark plugs you fixed? You done a lot of work under the hood, you think there's is a slight chance that you missed to plug back any sensor harness or vacuum line.
I suggest you do your diagnosis again by starting with the spark plug. Unplug all the wire and crank your engine. Quickly remove the sparkplug and if it wet with gasoline or coolant or oil. This you can narrow you search. Tell me what you found out and I will guide with the pinpoint test

1993 is obd1 and cannot do that. Where is the computer located?

Smoke was jet black. This vehicle is OBD 1 & I do not have a scan tool, but my local Autozone does, however with NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT on, there is nothing to scan. with the MAF disconnected, it only showed things related to it that had already been done. I did some further research into my thought that it may be the idea hat it may be the computer & picked up one at a local salvage yard over the weekend for $20.00. The Article I read stated that if a computer is bad , that when you open it up, it will smell like dead fish. I kinda chuckled at the that a burnt up electrical part could smell like a dead fish, but changing the computer did the trick, so for the heck of it, I split the old one apart to see what I could see. I didn't see anything unusual, but guess what? I planted my nose in that sucker & It smelled like a dead rotten fish. Go figure???

Thanks for all of the input guys! Be watching for my new post/thread on my new honey do. the 1993 XLT UPGRADE. What will fit off a 1999 XLT LIMITED & what won't. This should be fun!!!

Wow, really

Intermittent PCM. that sucks to trouble shoot!

There was a problem with the coating they used swelling over time and pushing the chips out of the board. Guess you had one of those.

They started using a different coating 93'- 94' and all remans have the new coating.

The coating is the dead fish smell.
