DO IT , even if there is one , there might not be on an awd v8 ! . either way i would just to have proof of all repairs and maintenance for the future !!

Well Lucky enough the AWD explorer is mostly the same in the front end as a 2wd. With the torsion bars, they came up with a pretty ingenious way of designing the suspension.

Pretty much the only difference is CV shafts and hubs, take those out and you have the 2wd set up pretty much.

but ill do a write up. if im not sweatin my a$$ off.
It gets triple digits here often now..and the shop isnt A/C'ed

If i remember right mountaineergreen did a pretty good one around here somewhere already.

Maybe ill just take pics. so if anyone needs to see some pictures from someone else point of view. cause really (from my pov) theres isnt much to tell on how to do it, to me, ball joints (specially on a 97 X) are rather straight forward. bolt on uppers.. press in lowers lol)

wud love to see the pics. maybe u have an easier way of doing it. i need to do joints and shocks as a matter of fact thanks!

No point in taking your time in doing that when there is write ups on this already, but good thinking though. Bruce, 95-01 4wd/awd are setup the same, even the 2wd bj's and tie rod's are changed the same.
