Should I update from 2.8 to 2.11?

Taking the Ex in to have the cooling fans replaced tomorrow. (I'm sure I'm the first to need that).
Should I have it updated to 2.11 or is it better to wait a bit? I'm not having any trouble from 2.8.

Update. 2.11 is a lot more stable than 2.8

2.11 fixed my USB music hiccup. Coming from 2.8. The service guy (he called himself the Sync guy) said that the sales department are going to start updating all new car sales to 2.11 pre-delivery. I asked for that when I bought mine a couple weeks ago and the salesmess (not a typo) said, oh yeah...you're going to have the latest and greatest. Got in to find 2.8...he learned that day that MFT has versions!

I updated to V2.11 8/6/11 and have been having more travel link issues with the weather info and fuel prices being updated. Not sure if it is the new Ford software or Sirius. To resolve my travel link problem had to remove fuse 29 which rebooted the system. All has been working the last two days.

I update from V2.8 to 2.11 and wished I had waited to see what issue developed on the forum.

Same problems exist on 2.8. You can not count on having Travel Link information for viewing.

Have this issue too from time to time since going from 2.7 to 2.11.

Also have noticed that my first BT call once I am driving will let me hear the caller, but they can't hear me. Hang up, and the rest of the calls work fine.

Happens every time. Very odd.

There is something about the software that gets hung up, and while it might start as a bad feed from Sirius, there is no way Sirius can correct and restart from their end. The reliable kick start is to pull fuse 29, indicating to me a software patch is needed. During a couple discussions with Sirius techs they were keying on the software update and what version I had. After a kick start, I generally run a couple days and then it suspends downloads.

I know I'm a little late on here, but did you end up updating to 2.11? If not, I suggest waiting unless you are having issues with your MFT. With that being said, if you are having any problems and are curious if they would be addressed on the update, please private message me your concerns.

I went from 2.4 too 2.11 and after a fuse pull that i did right after upgrade i have no issue's even the usb is working fine the screen to screen is faster the start up is faster the bluetooth conection to the iphone is almost instant the streaming is great. So i think that it has alot to do with the tech that is doing the upgrade. And most people want to touch screen to screen and want it to be instant and it's not like that it has to load like a computer you go screen to screen it also needs to load. Or it my freeze same here. So i would upgrade if i was on an older version !!
