I have a 1997 explorer xlt 4wd with 4.0L sohc engine. Sometimes when i first start driving it I will hear a single little popping sound in the front suspension, but dont hear it after that. It only happens sometimes when I drive it too. Could there be a bad problem, or is this normal?

I'm pretty sure it's just the drive train engaging when you shift into "Drive" and pull away. My Truck does that sometimes when I back out of the driveway then shift into Drive and pull away. I guess you could make sure all of your tire pressures are equal to minimize it. How many miles are on your truck?

It has only 113,000 miles

Possible broken sway bar link. $15 dollar part.
