Show's '90 Ranger James Duff 5.5" lift

Got any updates? I have been following this project and love watching it come together. It's going to be one sick rig.

No real updates right now, other than finally getting some Warn inner spindle nuts, a 5 gallon air tank for the on-board compressor and ARB, and a roll bar (freebie) that needs to be narrowed slightly to fit. Thankfully all the big stuff is done; its just all the little things that are killing me right now. That and the new truck I just had to have ('02 F250 PSD).

Your signature is missing about 6 vehicles :D

You mention a 5 gallon tank for the arb. I planned on that originaly. I ended up with a compressor (not from arb though) After talking to a few people I found that sooner or later an ARB may leak some. You are going to run out of air sooner than you think. My compressor has a small tank and It kicks on when I Lock my lockers and once in a while on the trails. You will also end up wanting to unlock for some tight spots. Remember the locker NEEDS about 100psi to operate. Less is bad just like more is. I know a guy who chewed one up after not running enough pressure. ARB says this can happen I strongly suggest a compressor.

When are you buying the camper, the trailer, and how much more rent does DWD charge for parking all of it?

I already had to tow my Buick back to my parents and sell the Escort, so I'm back down to my 2 car limit. I'm still looking for a good trailer. Not sure about the camper though.

That would be 2 pickups, 1 car and a tractor that I'm missing.

lets see some pics of those krawlers mounted...plzzzzz

As soon as I can get somes new rims for them.

Just ordered my rims today. They should be here next Fri the 10th.

Got my rims in yesterday. I ordered 5 Allied Daytona 61s through Les Schawb. When I showed up to drop of the tires for mounting they only had 4 rims for me. So they had to to another store about 30 miles away to get another one. As they were mounting the tires we found one rim with a really nasty/ugly weld so they had to run back over to the other store for another one.

Looks like I'll be doing alot of fender trimming for these too.

Are you going to remount the bumpers to match the body lift? Also, gap guards would look good with the body lift. Nice project, good job!

I'll probably be fabbing up some tube bumper for it sometime to take care of the bumper gaps.

omg that thing is SWEET especially with the krawlers...what made you get the krawlers anyway

I was originally looking at either Goodyear or BFG MTRs in 33x12.5-15s but after seeing how much the lift actually gave me and test fitting Diff Whack's 35 MTRs; I decided with 35s. After shopping around for tires I found out that my Navy Exchange could get me the 35x13.50-15 Krawlers for not too much more than the MTRs.

holy ****, nice tires!

I think you'll be suprised at how little we need to trim off the fenders. I would wait on that until you ramp it just to see exactly where it's going to hit. Those tires do look good though, and I bet there is a lot more room in the garage now between the fridge and the tool box:D

Now get some driveshafts, hubs, and exhaust so we can test it out when I get back

I forgot how much room there was in the garage, till I took the tires out.
It looks like I'll have all of that by the 1st or 2nd week of March. :(

I started fabbing up the mounts for the roll bar today. The mounts need to come out from the frame about 3-4".
