I have a 98 5.0 AWD ex and while accelarating from a dead stop around a corner, left or right, I feel a shudder possibly from the rear end area. Has anyone every had this same problem? Also, what is the prefered way to fix my exhaust tick? The left manifold is leaking from the no 8 hole. Just curious.

The shudder while turning is probably your rear end clutches. Change the rear end fluid with synthetic 75w90 or 75w140 and add a bottle of friction modifier. If the stud is not broken on the exhaust manifold, remove the manifold and install a gasket.

Where can I get a gasket? I was told by the dealer there isn't one.

If you are referring to the rear-end differential cover plate, there are various opinions on whether to go with or without a gasket. On my several 8.8" Fords, I've generally found that RTV sealant without a material gasket does the best job. Anyone else?

There is no gasket for the differential cover. Just silicone.

Exhaust manifold gasket?

try autozone.com or local NAPA. Most definitely there is a gasket on the exhaust manifold.
