Hi all,

Anyone know where to buy a side-light kit? I know this question is lame but I can't seem to find them anywhere locally and I 'd sure like to find some. I know a web site or two have them but I'm looking for something local, perhaps a chain-auto-parts store or Target or something...any ideas?

AC, if you are refering to side markers and you still can not find them locally, you might want to try one of the following sites:

http://www.nopi.com/

http://www.procarparts.com/

http://secure15.dellhost.com/~d30022975/euro_clear_lighting.htm

As for the color...it's a personal preference thing. I chose to go with clear side markers (from Nopi) because it matches my clear corners.

Hope this helps.

Keith, I love the way your truck looks!!!! One question: How hard is it to install the marker?? I want to do it but I always hesitated b/c I have a feeling that I'd screw up. I guess it's just me.

Keith side markers

Keith,

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it and I'm about ready to order a set. Just wanted to know... On Pro Car Parts site, http://www.procarparts.com/store/displaydetails.cfm?pid=444-USM the ad says "side marker - side signal" whereas on the Autodynamic site http://secure15.dellhost.com/~d30022975/images/side_marker/usm-005c.jpg it just says "side marker lights" Neither site gives sizes, etc but I figure they're pretty small.

I wanted to know if there's a difference, however between "side marker/side signal" lights and just plain "side marker" lights and which set you bought for your truck (it looks great!)

What do you (or anyone reading this) think .

Thanks, AC

ooops, duh, just saw where you said your's were "Nopi"

Hey Bill, thanks for the compliment. Actually it was quite easy to install the lights. So easy, I let my 12 year old daughter help drill the holes! Anyway, take a look at Cameron's website.

http://members.home.net/engcamron/sidemarker.htm

He has instructions and pictures of his sidemarker install. I basically followed his lead with the exception of sticking masking tape on the side of the truck before drilling. I did this to make it easier to measure and mark my center holes. And because I read somewhere that the masking tape prevents the paint from lifting when drilling into body panels.

AC, thanks for your compliment also. Those lights are basically the same except for maybe the shape of them. Either one of them should work and look just fine. As for the ones I chose from Nopi...they are from an Audi A4 and also available from AutoDynamic.

Only thing though...they DO NOT come with the bulbs and sockets like the ones you chose. Just thought I'd let you know.

Whichever one you pick it should look good...just take your time.

Okay, I ordered the lights and will use masking tape to do the install.

I want to get these side/signal markers, but I dont know if they will look good on my 93 EB. Not sure where I would mount them, and I dont know if i could. I mean drilling/cutting holes in my truck:eek: , too much pressure. Just out of curiosity, I read camerons how to install, I wouldnt want them to be on when you turn on your lights, I would only like them to serve as a blinker. How would you wire that up??

Just got the lights in as they appeared in the web page, however, on the box, it says they're for a RAV 4 even though advertised as 'universal"

Came with bulbs in sockets and look pretty cool...only problem is: what the heck plugs into the bulb socket...a RAV 4 plug? Or is this generic and something I can pick up at an auto parts store?
