Recently my side mirrors quit moving. I use the selector on the drivers door and I get nothing. I don't think they are frozen.

can you move them with your fingers to manualy adjust them?

yes

If neither works then it's probably a failed switch or the wiring harness to the switch.

Just wondering, do all the other switches in your door work?

All windows work, locks work, but i dont know about the window lock.

yes i did

then a harness came off but check your fuses. do the puddle lamps work in the mirriors also

I don't have the puddle lamps on mine. I check the owners book but it did not say what fuse it might be. I guess time to get the flashlight out and check each fuse.

ALSO: What harness are you talking about? One that I will have to take the door apart to get to?

Yup, it could be a fuse, harness in the door, or the switch.

I guess i have some digging to do tomorrow. If it is the harness is that something i could check without taking the door all the way off

I checked the fuses and they all seem to be OK.

I got the switch out of the door. It has eight wires going to it. Does anyone know is this the same unit used in a 2003/2004 Taurus? Or is there anyway to test the switch and see if it is good or not?

Went to the Ford dealer today and the service guy got a new switch and tried it and it did not work. Said I probably had a wire problem somewhere.

Where should I start looking???
